IBM garners six Channel Champions awards

IBM was named a 2008 CRN Channel Champion in six categories at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles, CA on 6 March. The CRN Channel CRN Channel Champions study measures overall Solution Provider perceptions of vendor products and services. The survey is the largest and broadest-based technology integrator market study in the industry.
IBM was recognised as the overall winner in the following categories:
- Middleware: WebSphere
- External Data Backup: Disk - DS Family (DS8000, DS4000) and Tape - LTO (Linear Tape Open)
- Midrange Servers: System i, System p and System x
- Data & Information Management: Information Management
IBM also won in these sub-categories:
- Network Storage - Financial: SAN & NAS - System Storage N Series, TotalStorage SAN 256B, 256M, System Storage 32B-3, 16B-2
- Collaboration - Programmes & support: Lotus Notes/Domino, Lotus Notes/Domino Express, Lotus Quickr, Lotus Connections, Lotus Sametime (Entry, Standard, Advanced)
