Staff at Sun are celebrating after the Sun Constellation System was recently recognised as one of Supercomputing Online’s 2007 Products of the Year. This prestigious award goes to products that bring innovation, value for money and high performance to the HPC (high performance computer) market. The award also acknowledges products that challenge the competitiveness of the market, ensuring price, performance and usability are all maintained. The Sun Constellation System is the first open petascale computing environment that combines ultra-dense, high performance computer, networking, storage and software into an integrated general purpose system.
